No, Taylor Swift’s didn’t cancel Eras Tour shows after endorsing Kamala Harris

The article was originally published as satire.
-
News reports did not say that Taylor Swift canceled any shows in her Eras Tour after endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for president in September.
When Taylor Swift announced to her then-283 million followers that she would be endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for U.S. president, a few things followed:
-
Hundreds of thousands of people visited the voter registration website, Vote.org.
-
Harris’ competitor, former President Donald Trump, posted on Truth Social that he "hates" Swift.
-
Former Rep. Liz Cheney, a Wyoming Republican who is also endorsing Harris, quoted a Swift song, calling Trump "the smallest man who ever lived."
One thing that didn’t happen: Swift received tour-bruising backlash. But some folks reading social media posts are getting that message.
"Taylor Swift Forced to Cancel Eras Tour Dates Following Endorsement Backlash: ‘Only 2,300 Tickets Sold,’" read a Sept. 16 Facebook post.

The post’s comments included a link to an article on the website luxury.amazingtoday.net that had the same 15-word claim as its headline. What the post and the website’s article didn’t make clear was that the story was originally published on Esspots — a site that describes itself as "your one-stop destination for satirical news and commentary about the United States."
We could not find any news reports about Swift canceling tour dates after her Harris endorsement. Swift did cancel some August Eras Tour shows in Austria after authorities discovered a terrorist attack was being planned outside her Vienna shows’ venue.
But her tour, launched in March 2023 and still going, has received critical acclaim for both its artistry and its high-grossing appeal.
Swift did not make any announcement about canceled shows on her Instagram or X accounts. Tickets for the remainder of Swift’s Eras Tour shows are currently sold out on TicketMaster.
We rate the claim that Swift was forced to cancel Eras tour dates after endorsing Harris False.
