Matt Gaetz
Matt Gaetz was elected to Congress in 2016 representing Florida's 1st District. Gaetz resigned from Congress on Nov. 13, 2024, just before President-elect Donald Trump nominated him for U.S. attorney general. Gaetz withdrew from consideration for attorney general Nov. 22, 2024, amid allegations of sexual misconduct and said he wouldn't rejoin Comgress. He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives serving District 4 in 2010. His father is former Florida state Sen. Don Gaetz.
