Eric Swalwell

Eric Swalwell was a representative of California’s 15th Congressional District from 2013 to April 2026. He dropped his 2026 run for California governor and resigned from office April 14, 2026, amid allegations of sexual misconduct. He received his bachelor’s degree in government and politics from the University of Maryland, College Park and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law. In 2019, he ran for the Democratic nomination for president and dropped out in July.
