Donald Trump might hate Taylor Swift, but he didn’t post the same about ‘Saturday Night Live’
If Your Time is short
- This image was altered. Former President Donald Trump didn’t post this.
A few days after Taylor Swift endorsed Democratic presidential nominee and Vice President Kamala Harris, former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, aired his distaste for the singer-songwriter.
"I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!" he wrote in a Sept. 15 Truth Social post.
But he didn’t share a similar sentiment about "Saturday Night Live" after Harris made a cameo during the show’s Nov. 2 episode. During the cold open, Harris got a pep talk from herself — comedian Maya Rudolph, who has been playing Harris this season.
An image of what looks like a Truth Social post from Trump has since spread on social media.
"I HATE SNL," Trump purportedly said in the post.
"Somebody hates SNL," a Nov. 3 Threads post sharing the image said.

We found no evidence Trump said this, although some Truth Social and X users predicted he would. The statement doesn’t appear in his Truth Social feed.
The image of Trump purportedly saying he hates SNL is an altered screenshot of his post about Swift.
The number of replies, "retruths" and likes is the same as an image of the Swift post published by news organizations such as Variety.
Trump has previously appeared on "Saturday Night Live," hosting twice in 2004 and in 2015, when he was first running for president.
After Harris’ Nov. 2 "Saturday Night Live" appearance, NBC gave Trump’s campaign free commercial time. It followed criticism from Brendan Carr, a Republican member of the Federal Communications Commission, who said the sketch was "a clear and blatant effort to evade the FCC’s Equal Time rule."
We rate claims Trump posted on Truth Social "I hate SNL" False.
