Claims that Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler are up for re-election this summer are wrong
If Your Time is short
- Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler are up for re-election in 2022 if they run again. Their current terms end in January 2023.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s current term ends in 2023, which means she’s up for re-election in 2022. Same goes for another California Democrat, U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff, and Rep. Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y.
Which means that a screenshot of a TikTok video that says all three are up for re-election within the next two months is wrong.
"In 38 days Pelosi and Schiff are up for reelection. Nadler up June 23," reads the screenshot posted on Facebook June 1. "Drain the swamp, repost this."

Pelosi has held her seat since 1987. She has yet to say whether she’s going to run again in 2022. We also didn’t find evidence that Schiff and Nadler have launched re-election campaigns. In February, Axios reported that Schiff has quietly lobbied California Gov. Gavin Newsom to appoint him as the state’s next attorney general.
What we do know: Claims that Pelosi, Schiff and Nadler are up for re-election this summer are False.
