Greg Abbott, the Republican seeking re-election as governor of Texas, says in a new TV ad that he's kept his promises.
The state's economy is robust, Abbott suggests in the ad, unemployment is down and, he says, schools are thriving with the state enjoying its best-ever high-school graduation rates.
