Political leaders, from President Barack Obama on down, have talked about the importance of America"s children becoming more proficient in science, technology, engineering and math.
   
Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal, the son and husband of educators, is among them. He spoke frequently during the campaign about his desire to implement projects that would aid Georgia"s students.

Deal said Wednesday that he wants to include $15 million for funding for STEM charter schools, those that focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.
