If Your Time is short
- This video doesn’t show Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez crying on CNN.
Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., pulled a fire alarm Sept. 30 as Democrats tried to delay a vote on a spending bill. But claims that one of his colleagues later appeared on CNN and wept on his behalf are wrong.
"WOW!! AOC Cries on CNN as the GOP moves to ARREST and EXPEL Woke Democrat who Pulled Fire Alarm!" reads the description of a video in an Oct. 1 Facebook post.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., did appear Oct. 2 on CNN’s "State of the Union," but she didn’t cry, as the post claims. And the video in the Facebook post does not show her crying.
Rather, she countered Republican calls to punish Bowman for what he has said was an accident. The show’s transcript details Ocasio Cortez’s comments.
We rate claims that this video shows her crying on CNN False.
