President Joe Biden, not an impersonator, visited Israel in October
If Your Time is short
- Video shows President Joe Biden in Israel, not an impersonator.
President Joe Biden recently visited Israel, and Oct. 18 footage shows him meeting with Israeli first responders and the victims' families in the Israel-Hamas war.
But a clip of that video, which focuses on where Biden’s skin folds behind his ear, suggests the president didn’t actually make that trip. Rather, the post claims, an impostor did.
"18.10.23 - ‘Biden’ visits Israel," text in the video says. "Can you see? Or are you too blind to notice?!"
A man in the video says: "What in God’s name — how do you explain that fake latex loose-looking mask that is tucked into that suit in that man, like how? Then you wonder why people are making comments about clones and doubles. I mean, look at that meat puppet how — that does not look like Joe Biden four years ago, not in any way shape or form. Make it make sense because all I see is a man in a mask."

A Nov. 5 Instagram post sharing this video was flagged as part of Meta’s efforts to combat false news and misinformation on its News Feed. (Read more about our partnership with Meta, which owns Facebook and Instagram.)
The video in the post is more washed out than the original footage, which appeared on C-SPAN. There, Biden’s neck doesn’t look amiss. If he looks different than he did four years ago, perhaps that’s because he’s now 80 years old, and skin ages.
Claims that this video shows an impersonator are unfounded. We rate them Pants on Fire!
